The Bridal Wellness Roadmap: A 6-Month Glow-Up That Isn't a Crash Diet

There's a particular kind of pressure that arrives the moment you start planning a wedding — the quiet, unspoken expectation that you should also become a different version of yourself by the big day. Glowier. Calmer. More toned. Better rested. Photo-ready in a way real life rarely allows.

We have thoughts about that.

The best brides we've worked with at Heights don't show up looking like someone else on their wedding day. They show up looking like themselves, just at their most rested, well-loved, and well-cared-for. That kind of glow doesn't come from a juice cleanse or a panicked week of facials — it comes from intentional, sustainable habits that build over time.

Here's the bridal wellness roadmap we actually recommend, broken down by how far out you are from the day. Lift what's useful. Skip what isn't. There's no test at the end.

Six months out: build the foundation

Six months is a beautiful place to start because it gives your body real time to respond. The goal at this stage isn't transformation — it's foundation. You're laying down the habits that will carry you through wedding planning, the bachelorette weekend, the rehearsal dinner, and the moment you say yes.

What to focus on:

Skin. This is when you start a real, consistent skincare routine — and ideally book a series of professional facials or microneedling sessions. Microneedling especially is a six-month commitment kind of treatment; the results unfold gradually as your skin produces more collagen.

Hydration and energy. If you've been running on iced coffee and adrenaline (we see you), this is the time to course-correct. Many of our brides start a monthly IV therapy rhythm at the six-month mark — for hydration, vitamin support, and the kind of energy that makes wedding planning less brutal.

Sleep and stress. Wedding planning is a known sleep destroyer. Consider red light therapy as a recurring ritual — it supports both sleep quality and stress recovery, and it's the rare wellness service that asks nothing of you while you're in it.

Movement that you actually like. The brides who feel best on their wedding day are not the ones who suffered through a punishing bridal bootcamp. They're the ones who found a movement practice they enjoyed and stuck with it.

Three months out: refine

Three months out, your foundation is in place — now we're refining. You're sleeping better, your skin is responding, your energy is steadier. This is when small, targeted additions make the biggest difference.

What to focus on:

Targeted skin treatments. If you started microneedling at six months, you're probably hitting your third session right around now. If you didn't — there's still time for a series of facials to refine texture, tone, and that rested-from-within look.

Vitamin and amino boosts. A weekly or bi-weekly B12 or glutathione boost is one of the simplest, most effective additions to your wellness rhythm. They're quick (under ten minutes), and they support energy, mood, and skin clarity.

Body sculpting, if it's part of your plan. Most non-invasive body sculpting works best as a series — typically four to six sessions spaced over several weeks. Three months out is the latest you'd want to start.

Pelvic floor and core support. This is one of our quieter recommendations, but our brides love it. Pelvic floor therapy supports core strength, posture, and confidence — all of which translate directly to how you feel walking down the aisle.

Six weeks out: polish

This is the home stretch — and the moment to stop introducing new things. Whatever isn't already part of your routine probably shouldn't be.

What to focus on:

Stick to your rhythm. Consistent IV drips, your established skincare cadence, sleep, hydration, movement. Familiar is your friend.

Final aesthetic touches. A bridal facial four to six weeks out is the gold standard — close enough to glow, far enough out that any redness or purging settles before the day. Avoid trying anything new in the four-week window.

Hydrate aggressively. Plain water, electrolytes, and a well-timed IV drip seven to ten days out can make a remarkable difference in how your skin photographs.

One week out: protect the glow

The bride's job during wedding week is, quite simply, to not undo the previous five months of work.

What to focus on:

Sleep like it's your job. Whatever your bedtime is, make it earlier.

One last IV drip. Most of our brides come in three to five days before the wedding for a hydration and immunity drip. It's the closest thing to a wellness insurance policy.

Skip new products. Whatever your skin is used to, keep doing. No experiments.

Eat normally. Crash diets in the final week dehydrate you, dull your skin, and make you feel worse — not better.

Wedding day and beyond

Honestly? The wedding day is the easy part. If the previous months have been intentional, your body knows what to do. Hydrate, eat real food, breathe, soak it in.

Many of our brides come back to Heights in the days after the wedding for a recovery drip — equal parts hydration, vitamin replenishment, and a quiet hour of stillness after the most overstimulating week of their lives. Highly recommended.

A note for bridesmaids and mothers of the bride

Bridal wellness isn't just for the bride. We've watched bridesmaids and mothers of the bride find their own rhythm here over the months leading up to a wedding — a shared ritual that becomes one of the loveliest parts of the whole experience. If you're getting married, consider gifting your wedding party a Heights gift card. It's the kind of present that becomes a tradition.

Frequently asked questions

When should I start booking treatments? For best results, six months out is ideal — especially for any treatment that involves a series (microneedling, body sculpting, peptide protocols). For one-off services like IV drips and facials, two to three months is plenty.

What if my wedding is sooner than that? We've worked with brides on every timeline, including last-minute. We'll always be honest about what's realistic and recommend the highest-impact services for your window.

Can I bring my bridesmaids? Please do. A pre-wedding wellness afternoon at Heights — IV drips for everyone, a little champagne, soft lighting — is one of our favorite things we offer.
